Description

Strapping seals and buckles are an essential accessory to ensure a sufficient seal for adequate tension to safely secure loads for transit.

Our standard range accommodates a variety of applications as follows;

Standard Metal – Our semi-open seals are our value option for sealing polypropylene strapping using a hand tool – either combintion or sealer & tensioner.

Serrated Metal – A great option for heavy duty polypropylene or polyester (PET) applications,  the serrated finish enables a better grip to the strapping material.

Plastic Buckles – For use with polypropyene strapping only, a great alternative to metal seals without the requirement for a tool.

Snap-on Seals – Superior quality for use with steel strapping with a strapping sealer.

More Information

A strapping system is only ever as strong as its weakest point: its joint and its corners. Our comprehensive selection of Strapping Seals, Wire Buckles, and Heavy-Duty Edge Protection ensures your cargo arrives looking pristine. We supply semi-open metal clips for fast manual PP crimping, high-grip serrated seals for polyester (PET) lines, and heavy-duty wire buckles for corded strapping. Combined with our impact-resistant plastic corner protectors and rigid cardboard edge boards, you can tension your bands to their maximum capacity without crushing your boxes.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Aggressive Joint Efficiency: Serrated metal seals feature sharp internal teeth that bite deep into slick polyester film, preventing joint slippage under intense transit stress.

  • Self-Locking Wire Buckles: Designed for textile corded strapping, these galvanised or phosphate-coated wire loops tighten continuously as load stress increases, allowing quick manual re-tensioning.

  • Comprehensive Corner Safeguarding: Heavy-duty strapping edge protection spreads the constrictive pressure of tensioned bands evenly across carton borders, eliminating box deformation and strap-bite.

Ensure your dispatch teams have the exact accessories required to execute a flawless pack with our premium strapping seals and buckles in the North East and North West. Perfect for quality control and loss prevention managers, our comprehensive range of pallet corner protectors North West and North East logistics networks demand prevents product crushing, eliminates transit damage claims, and guarantees security on the road.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the difference between semi-open strapping seals and serrated seals?
Semi-Open Seals: Feature a smooth interior and are designed for fast manual crimping over standard polypropylene strapping.
Serrated Seals: Lined with sharp internal interlocking teeth that bite directly into tough polyester (PET) strapping to prevent joint slippage under extreme heavy loads.

When should my packing team use wire buckles instead of metal seals?
Wire buckles are designed explicitly for corded polyester and woven textile strapping. The soft strap is threaded through the loop of the wire buckle, creating a self-locking joint that tightens continuously as more tension is applied via the tool.

Why is strapping edge protection crucial for palletised loads?
High-tension banding exerts concentrated compressive force on the corners of your load. Utilising strapping edge protection (plastic corner pieces or heavy cardboard edge boards) spreads that force evenly, preventing the straps from crushing or cutting your stock.

What type of seal must be used with industrial steel banding?
Steel banding requires heavy-duty overlap seals or open-flange steel seals. These are manufactured from high-gauge steel to withstand the immense crimping pressure of manual steel sealers, ensuring a rock-solid, non-slip joint.
